The second plant was not operating when I saw it. It’s a much taller plant than the first one.
Obscured
The hills around Tehachapi were wreathed in clinging mist.
Here and there I smelled wood smoke, but this was fog, not fire.
I did not get off the road to visit the Loop.

For some reason, I saw the sun rise this morning over Barstow.
I got to visit two operating solar plants today.
They used slightly different methods to capture power from the sun.
