Sizzle
From about Amarillo east to the Oklahoma border, lightning sparked and sputtered and rain came pelting down. It started out well before sunset, when lightning illuminated billowing clouds from inside, and then as darkness came over the landscape the show gathered intensity.
My camera's not much good at taking pictures of lightning while I'm driving. This was an experimental 10-second shot. The lightning was popping several times in a row, from different corners of the sky, so in 10 seconds you might see 5 bolts explode.
I don't think any part of this picture is lightning, but I'll put it up anyway, as a remembrance.
